2001 JAGUAR XKR SILVERSTONE EDITION “ONLY 43,323 MILES, ONE OF ONLY 50, Nice upgrades, Lovely!!!”

Jaguar is one of the most revered name in the automotive world. The name jaguar has come to be known as the makers of some of the finest sports and grand touring cars ever produced. From the C-type racecars of the 1950’s, to the XKE of the 1960’s followed by the XJ6 and XJS of the 80’s and 90” the legend continued. The tradition was upheld in the 2000’s with the production of the modern XK automobiles. The XKR Silverstone Convertible was built to commemorate Jaguar’s re-entry into formula 1 racing in 2001. Only 50 XKR Silverstone convertibles were produced, it is unlikely you will ever see another. The silverstone took the already potent standard XKR to a much higher level of luxury and performance. The 370 Horsepower supercharged V-8 offered great power and torque while the look and luxury of the car allowed it to compete with the finest Grand touring cars on the market.

The car on offer here is a 43,323 miles example that is in wonderful condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The Platinum Silver paint is excellent. The car features its factory original, aggressive 20” BBS rims the tires are excellent. The interior of this limited edition car features yards of black leather with red stitching, smoked green wood veneer, leather steering wheel, leather gear lever and various flashes of wooden trim, exclusive to this model. Navigation is also standard on this vehicle. The suspension on the XKR Silverstone differs from the standard XK in that it has recalibrated adaptive damping, stiffer springs, thicker anti-roll bars, and retuned steering. This car has been upgraded with the addition of a performance exhaust and a fresh air intake. The original airbox and mufflers come with the car. These options, together with larger Brembo brakes, make the Silverstone much more sporty that a standard XK, while still retaining the traditional Jaguar luxury ride and style. With the addition of the exhaust, the car makes a great sound without being obnoxious. The car has had its cosmetics enhanced with the addition of a mesh front grill. With only 43,323 miles, this well maintained car is in wonderful condition, with few blemishes, and no mechanical issues. The convertible soft top is in excellent condition, and all of the mechanical systems work, as they should. This limited edition Jaguar needs nothing except an enthusiastic, collector/owner.
