1964 Morgan Plus 4 2 seater. “A Beautiful, great running and driving car, great bones, great patina” this is a very nice car.

The Morgan Motor Company is one of the oldest and most iconic English car manufacturers. Founded in 1910, the Morgan factory is still based in Malvern Link, Worcestershire, where they produce approx. 1300 cars per year. Still assembled by hand by old world craftsman, the Morgan represents a bygone era where times were simpler and “roadsters” were more common. Morgan cars are unusual because of they have used Ash wood in their construction for more than a century! The Morgan cars have always blend a modern technology with the old world construction techniques making these cars so ndearing to so many. They are the definitive “Classic British Roadster” and offer class, style and a wonderful driving experience.
The car on offer here is this excellent 1964 Morgan Plus 4 two seater. This is a cherished, two owner car, the last owner since 1988. It is solid, runs well, has been well maintained and looks great. She is very original and offers the classic, old world feel of an open roadster. Powered by her original Triumph 2.0L inline 4 the motor benefitted from a full rebuild in 2002 including a racing cam. The engine makes better than average power and torque. I have driven a lot of these, and this car is FAST. The performance is wonderful and she is a blast to drive. This car is very original and has benefitted from one repaint in her original British Racing Green. The single stage paint is excellent, and the car has a mirror like finish. The steel chassis is solid, and the brakes, engine and transmission all work as they should. The black leather seats, wood dash and gauges are all original, show well and have a nice patina. The air bladder seats are especially nice buttery soft and in wonderful condition. All body metal and panels are intact, straight and in good condition. The ash wood frame and floors show well and are solid. The 2.0 liter triumph engine mated to her 4-speed manual transmission runs and shifts well, and the car is great fun to drive. The engine compartment is very original and nicely detailed. The wiring harness is excellent and all systems work as they should. New radiator hoses were just installed and the car features the optional heater box and heater fan. The black convertible top was replaced in 2002 has been rarely used and remains in wonderful condition. The plastic windows are clear and a tonneau cover is included. The car has a full windscreen and comes with Brooklands windscreens as well. The car has removable side curtains that are in almost new. The original convertible top comes with the car (though it is well worn). The tires are in good condition the Chrome and trim is excellent, clearly having been replaced at some point. The car has Minilite wheels, front disc brakes and drums in the rear the brakes have plenty of pad left. The kingpins are in excellent condition with little play and the car tracks and steers well. The car comes with a lot of interesting documentation, books and tools. If you are looking for a stunning, well sorted Morgan at a fair price, look no further.
