The vehicle on offer here is a beautiful 2012 BMW M3 optioned with the BMW Competition Package. The car is in beautiful condition, belying the mileage pictures do not do it justice. The M3 with the 6-speed manual transmission is one of the last “drivers cars” available. Featuring a 6-Speed manual gearbox, OEM handling upgrades and top of the line suspension and tires, this car offers the “connected” feel rarely found in the digital cars currently offered by the automotive establishment. The factory “Competition Package” option features modified ride height, stiffer shock damping, additionally variable Electronic Damper Control, and forged 19” wheels. This package was an additional $2,500. According to the BMW M registry, only 5,870 of these cars were produced. In stock form these cars offer stunning performance the 4.0 litre V8 with its screaming 8300 rpm redline produces 414 horsepower, and propels the car to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds! This M3 has been equipped with $4900 of specialty DINAN parts, including the P1 tuning Package, Front Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Brace and a High Flow Carbon Fiber Intake Tube. The Dinan equipment adds both performance, and “bling” to the car. The Space Gray Metallic Paint is excellent with great shine and luster and few blemishes. There is a drip mark on the hood, that looks like someone dripped brake fluid. It does not show up in pictures, but it is there. Likewise, the two-tone black and grey interior is in great condition, with issue anywhere and only mild wear on the seat bolster. This car has been dealer maintained its entire life and comes with a 2” binder filled with all records. In January of 2017 at 84,518 miles, BMW of North Haven completed a transmission swap under warranty including a new flywheel and clutch. The close-ratio 6-Speed transmission shifts well and the clutch engages as designed. The car got new tires (Hankook Ventus V12) and a brake fluid flush just 800 miles ago and the car is up to date on all service. The 2012 M3 is one of the last BMW’s to feature a naturally aspirated V8, connected to a true manual gearbox and with the desirable competition pack, only adds to its “connected” drivers feel.
