1970 PORSCHE 911S “VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY CAR. Built 2.4 LITER “S” MOTOR.
VIN 9110301456
The vehicle on offer here is this very nice 1970 Porsche 911S. The car has an interesting and intriguing history. It was a theft recovery and, at the time of recovery, issued a California salvage title. During the theft its engine and gearbox were stolen. The car was then purchased from the insurance company and brought back to life. It's resurrection began with the acquisition of a 1972 911 case original serial number 6124315 type number 911/51. The engine was built using all “S” internals. The build includes, but is not limited to the following components
-911S crankshaft,
-S rods,
-S cylinder heads,
-Biral alloy S cylinders,
-S pistons,
-S cams,
-Carrera oil pump,
-Raceware rod bolts,
-Carrera oil-fed chain tensioners,
-911S MFI system, stacks,
-S throttle bodies,
-1973 Bosch 013 injection pump
Mechanically the car is excellent. The suspension is well sorted with many new parts as are the brakes. The body still retains all of its original metal (fenders, doors, lids, floors, etc.). The Albert Blue paint is good with good shine and luster though there are areas where the paint is failing. The interior is very original and the dash is intact and shows little wear. The car was born with Air conditioning, the evaporator is present, but the compressor is not in the car. The a/c system could be made functional. The car is a great driver. The engine dynoed at 190 rear wheel horsepower (the dyno sheets come with the car). The car is fast with good power’ the 915 5-speed gearbox shifts well and the clutch takes up with authority. This is a very good driving car. The car comes with a Porsche COA and some maintenance and restoration records. Buy with confidence as this car is a joy to drive, is well sorted and needs nothing except an enthusiastic collector/enthusiast.
