The story of the Porsche 911 is one of evolution and refinement. Starting in 1965 and continuing until the present day, each generation of 911 has built on the successes of the generation before. 2005 was the first year of the “997” body style. A breath of fresh air over the previous “996” generation which had been panned due to its slightly staid looks and engine reliability issues. The new “997” was hailed universally as a better car than the previous generation both mechanically and cosmetically.
