The F355 Ferrari is widely considered to be the first truly modern eight cylinder Ferrari. Previous eight cylinder Ferrari’s were iconic in their style, but left a lot on the table in terms of performance. The cars received an d style that has stood the test of time, and finally got an eight cylinder engine that proudly carried the Ferrari badge into the new millennium. Featuring a high revving (8500 rpm) V8 engine, the car offered a dramatic increase in performance over the previous eight cylinder Ferraris. The F355 used Formula 1 technology in the engine with the introduction of a 5-valve cylinder head. This new head design allowed the engine to breathe much better, and resulted in a dramatic power increase to 375 hp. The engine internals used the latest in technology, including the use of lightweight materials the connecting rods are forged in Ti6-Al-4V titanium alloy. At only 3000 lbs, the car was both light and agile, and offered among the best performance of any car of its generation. The cars are a joy to drive and offer a high level of collectability while offering great performance and daily civility.

This 1998 Ferrari F355 Spider 6-speed is one of the finest examples of the breed we have ever seen. It has just 16,900 miles, and is in superb condition. 1998 is the final and best year for the F355. The original Ferrari Argento Nurburgring Metallic Grey paint is excellent, with deep shine and great luster. The car has been well maintained and comes with full documentation. The black leather interior is in excellent condition the leather is supple, with minimal wear. The dash is in near perfect condition, and all of the plastic parts were restored in order to do away with the dreaded “sticky dash”. This car has been dealer maintained all of its life, and we have all records since 2000. All of the mechanical systems work as they should, the A/C blows cold and the climate controls work well. It has only covered 16,900 Carfax certified miles. The car comes equipped with a stock Exhaust, and screams all the way to its 8500 RPM redline. Currently the original, stock rims are shod in newer Bridgestone Potenza tires. We have all of the books and records, including the leather tool bag and Ferrari car cover. The car has been well serviced with a full engine out belt service in 2016 and has only traveled 500 miles since. Exhaust manifolds were replaced and stainless steel braided fuel lines have been installed. It has a 3M clear bra for stone chip protection. Bid with confidence, as this is one of the finest F355 Spiders on the market today and needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner collector.
