The Jaguar E-Type is one of the most iconic and beautiful cars ever produced. Its sexy sleek styling puts it in the upper echelon of collector cars. Appearing in many guises over its 13 years in production from sleek roadster to 2+2 coupe, and power derived from the venerable 3.8 liter inline-6 all the way to the famous 5.3 liter V12. The E-Type can find a place in any collectors imagination.

The car on offer here is a 1969 E-Type 2+2 coupe. The car received a sympathetic mechanical and cosmetic restoration at a cost of more than $30,000, in 2014 by Classic Cars of Houston the car is in excellent driver level condition. We believe this to be an original numbers matching car with the engine and transmission it was born with. Finished in Carmen Red with Black interior, this coupe shows beautifully from every angle. The body is straight, the panel fit being far better than factory specs. The 4.2-liter motor runs beautifully, and the twin SU carbs (rebuilt) are tuned to perfection. The engine compartment is well detailed. The rebuilt radiator and auxiliary fans do an excellent job of cooling the car. The original, fully synchronized transmission shifts well, and the clutch engages as it should.The suspension has been rebuilt, and all bushings, rubber, shocks and bearings replaced. The brakes, hydraulics, electrics were restored as well as the entire fuel system, including the fuel tank and carburettors. The car runs and drives as it should, and the engine makes good power and torque.

The interior is in excellent condition, including the black leather seats, black carpets and black leather dash. The air condition was overhauled by Classic Auto Air in Florida. There is a wonderful patina throughout the car, attesting to the age and originality of the car. All of the chrome and trim on the car is in good condition, as are the lights, lens and headlights. The car wears beautiful wire wheels, and shod with new B.F Goodrich radial tires. The underside is excellent, very original and shows well, the stainless steel exhaust system is new. The spare tire compartment is original and looks new. This car is extremely well sorted, and runs as well as any e-type we have driven. Simply turn the key and the car fires immediately and idles beautifully. The beautiful sound of these cars cannot be overstated. This car gives the wonderful driving experience that only an E-type can deliver. This beautiful E-Type 2+2 coupe runs and drives well, and needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner!!!
