The car on offer here is this ultra-low mileage 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SLP Firehawk it has only 6891 miles. Originally delivered to Garber Buick-Pontiac-GMC, Green Cove Springs, Fl. Power comes from a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 mated to a six-speed MANUAL transmission. Finished in Black over Ebony leather, this limited edition Firehawk Trans Am is number 653 out of 1,503 examples built for 2002 with the Firehawk Alteration Package. The SLP Firehawk was a performance enhancement package offered by Pontiac on a limited edition (1503 cars) basis. A new Trans Am was sent to SLP Engineering inc. for the installation of a specially designed upgrade package both mechanical and cosmetic enhancements were added. These upgrades included, but are not limited to, a cold-air induction composite hood with heat extractors, a stainless-steel exhaust system, suspension upgrades. A Hurst shifter and traction control.

This “Firehawk” Black painted body (original paint) features Firehawk front fascia badge as well as a composite hood with cold-air induction scoops and heat extractors as part of the Firehawk package. Other exterior features include fog lights, a rear deck wing, and removable glass T-top panels.

Factory 17″ chrome rims ($799) unique to the Firehawk package are shod with Firestone Firehawk tires (original and in need of replacement) measuring 275/40 at all four corners. Modifications from SLP Engineering include Bilstein shocks, a rear sway bar, a strut-tower brace, color-matching subframe connectors, and adjustable torque arms. The rear deck spoiler is a $799 option.

The interior is trimmed in Ebony leather and features front bucket seats with six-way power adjustment for the driver. Amenities include air conditioning, a factory Monsoon stereo system, power windows and locks, cruise control, and keyless entry with two fobs.

A leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel fronts factory instrumentation including a 155-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The digital odometer shows just over 6,891 miles.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 Firehawk package includes an upgraded and tuned engine by SLP Engineering as part of the Firehawk package. Factory output was rated at 345 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner T56 six-speed manual transmission. SLP components include a full stainless-steel exhaust system, a high-flow mass-airflow sensor, and a high-capacity radiator. This Firehawk is offered with its original window sticker, “Certificate of Birth”, factory manuals and literature, sunshade panels for the T-top, T-top bags, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Connecticut title.
